Banjosa Valley Public School (BVPS) takes its name from a famous local lake. It is the third quality school to be opened by the Kashmir Education Foundation. It was commissioned in March 2009. The school has provision from prep to class 10. To boost female literacy 51% places are set aside for girls. The teaching staff were all trained by the KEF institute at Basali. BVPS is well equipped and boasts excellent facilities and resources. It provides a pleasant and secure environment for young students, most of whom travel a considerable distance over difficult terrain to attend the school each day.
